The Conventional Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) process can be classified into two main categories:
Continuous
In the Continuous treatment process, plant flow will pass through a series of separate process units including pre-settling, aeration and sedimentation.
Intermittent
The Intermittent treatment process involves aeration, sedimentation and decanting of the effluent which is all carried out in a single tank.
